Whilst this is not a resort, it is a great place to base yourselves whilst in Auckland. It is around the corner from the train station and bus interchange, meaning that it's not far for the children to walk when having to catch public transport. It is also directly opposite the Westfield city shopping centre which has a big food court, making meal times a lot easier. There are also some great museums within walking distance, and the harbour is also within walking distance. Some rooms have harbour views, which can also keep the kids' entertained.
There isn't a Kids Club but as we were out everyday this didn't matter.
Upon check in we were upgraded to a larger room with 2 double beds, instead of the original room with a pull out couch for the children. The staff was always friendly and professional, both in their dealings with my children (5 and 9) and my husband and myself. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the buffet breakfast could certainly get you through the first half of the day (or longer).
A good Auckland base, and we will definitely be staying there again.
