Just thought I would alert people to a great spot for families
in Palm Cove where you get reciprocal rights to Novotel next door that is now
over 12 years old and very tired. We stayed for the same price next door in a
beautiful spacious apartment at Easter 2005 at Sanctuary next door. Used the
pools at Novotel , played golf , used the gym. Otherwise I would not bother with
Novotel. It is in need of a renovation. The food is expensive. Seafood
smorgasboard was disappointing! Rooms are too small and overall the resort is
too big if you are looking for a well earned break. Sanctuary next door is well
run, only 16 apartments, great pool, great kitchen and facilities in each
apartment with full security and yes the same price.
Beautiful we loved it..... A great find in sleepy Palm Cove.
We will go back.

- Kunundra Railway and cable car combination
- the reef from Port Douglas
- lunch at Port Douglas
- a visit to Cairns main
