I went on this ship with my family. It was a 21st b'day pressy from my mum and dad. I loved it and everyone else did too. My only downside was that it went to quick. THIS SHIP IS ONE COOL BOAT. IT ROCKS IN ALL AREAS. LOVED IT.

We just arrived back from cruise on pacific sun. We had a nice time but there were a number of issues. We left late and only had a couple of hours in our first port of call. We felt they had the theme nights on wrong nights. Some of the organization was excellent. But other areas were really bad. Food was not enough catered for the aussies as majority were Australians. Food too much all over the place if there wasn't anything you liked in one area. Must comment the room stewards were excellent. We had a really nice time days in port. The beverage areas were lacking in staff. Wouldn't go back on this boat again. Went on the pacific sky and that was excellent couldn't fault it.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A 10 NIGHT CRUISE ON THE PACIFIC SUN, A P & O CRUISE LINER. WE TRAVELLED WITH OUR THREE CHILDREN AGED 15,13,AND 8.

FIRSTLY THE POSITIVES: WE FOUND THE CABIN SIZE AND THE BATHROOM AREA WAS FINE EVEN WITH THE FIFTH ROLLAWAY BED IN PLACE THERE IS PLENTY OF WARDROBE SPACE ETC. THE FOOD IS VARIED AND ABUNDANT EACH MEAL ROLLS OVER INTO THE NEXT. THE NIGHTLY SHOWS WERE VERY WELL DONE AND WE FOUND QUITE OK FOR ALL THE CHILDREN EXCEPT ONE! THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WE ONLY HAD ONE DAY WHEN WE HAD A VERY LONG WAIT FOR A SHIPS TENDER TO GET ACROSS TO A ISLAND OTHERWISE ALTHOUGH THERE WAS WAITS IT WASN'T EXTREME. THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL GETTING EVERYONE ON AND OFF SAFELY. THERE ORGANIZATION FOR EMBARKING AND DIS-EMBARKATION WE FOUND EXCELLENT, WE LET P& O ORGANIZE ALL OUR FLIGHTS AND COACH TRANSFERS AND WE HAD NO COMPLAINTS EVERY THING RAN VERY SMOOTHLY.

WE DID HOWEVER FIND BREAKFAST, AND LUNCH TIMES NOT ALWAYS PLEASANT AS THESE MEALS DO NOT HAVE ALLOCATED TABLES AND TO FIND A SPACE FOR 5 PEOPLE WAS A TRAUMA EVERY SINGLE TIME. ALSO AS WE WERE ON A SCHOOL HOLIDAY CRUISE IT WAS COMPLETELY BOOKED SO THE KIDS CLUBS WERE FULL TO OVER FLOWING AND THEY ARE LOCATED AT THE TOP AND REAR OF SHIP, ALL OUR CHILDREN BECAME SEA SICK EACH TIME THEY ATTENDED AND SO AFTER THIS HAPPENED 3 OF FOUR TIMES WE GAVE UP THEM ATTENDING WHICH OF COURSE IS A SHAME. AS ONLY ONE OF OUR CHILDREN WAS ENTITLED TO EAT WITH KIDS CLUB WE ELECTED FOR HER TO EAT WITH US AT FIRST DINNER SITTING WHICH TIME WISE WAS PERFECT BUT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE FOR A CHILD TO CHOOSE AND SHE IS NOT A FUSSY EATER. THE CABIN AIR-CONDITIONING DIDN'T APPEAR TO WORK PROPERLY AND THE ROOMS BECOME VERY STUFFY WHILST ELSEWHERE YOU NEEDED JUMPERS! SO OVERALL THE SHIP IS HUGE AND YOU SPEND ALLOT OF TIME MOVING AROUND, WE FOUND NOT ENOUGH TIME COULD BE SPENT ON THE ISLANDS WHICH IS A REAL SHAME AS THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL PLACES. BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING ON CONSTANTLY AND SO MANY PEOPLE ALL CONFINED IT WAS NOT RELAXING FOR US.

WE HAVE ARRIVED HOME AND ALTHOUGH ALL AGREE IT WAS NICE, WE FEEL WE SHOULD BE BUBBLING WITH EXCITEMENT TO HAVE BEEN ON SUCH A TRIP AND WE ARE NOT. WILL WE GO AGAIN, MAYBE BUT NOT IN A REAL HURRY!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 5 have just returned from a 7 night cruise aboard the Pacific Sun. We all had a fantastic time, parents returning home fully relaxed and revived and the kids having had an absolute ball. We were lucky enough not to have suffered with sea sickness, so were able to enjoy the trip. We found the separate meal times for the kids great, so we were able to have dinner on our own. The kids club was great and our kids made lots of friends and wanted to be in there most of the time. Unfortunately we didn't have good weather which meant no swimming on the boat so made daytime activities hard for the kids, so they went to kids club most of the days and then of an evening too. Various activities to keep them entertained and lots of kids attended. Our cabin was very roomy and found it adequate for our family. All the staff are extremely friendly and especially fuss over the children, and make you feel very special. We didn't find getting on and off the ship a problem as they move people pretty quickly and orderly. We found cruising a great family holiday and definitely recommend it.
