Fairly ordinary! Hugely expensive especially for families! Ch'n expected to share a double sofa bed!!!!! Main bed is actually two
mattresses - hence a very uncomfortable middle! Not a friendly place and a long drive from suitable meals/ takeaways!
There are better places to stay and do your research first!!

Had a wonderful stay July 2009 loved the facilities - just one
disappointment on checkout we were charged $15.95 for internet usage which was
purely accidental whilst my hubby and I tried to operate the TV - which is also a PC - we had no idea we had accessed the internet and the resort manager could not tell us what had actually been accessed - he blamed our children - but they were not interested in watching the TV as there was so much to do there. Need clear instructions in the room on how to operate the TV!

My family (hubby and 2 children aged 4 and 3 years) just spent a week at the Novotel Twin
Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast. We had an excellent time (I think the
weather being superb had something to do with it too! :)). The accommodation was
good (we stayed in a King suite, with a fold out sofa bed lounge) which I would
recommend if staying at this resort compared to the "resort" rooms. A couple of
nights we also stayed in the 2 bedroom king suite, but all this is, is a king
suite, with a resort room interconnecting. It was ok, but with small toddlers,
you may have to keep an eye on them as the other room is actually not connected
by a door as such (hard to explain) but there is an outer door to the front
doors of the rooms, which you can keep open, so there's a wall between the rooms
basically.
Anyway, the king suite's were clean and roomy. The only thing the room's may need is a
possible upgrade (ie. clock radio's, cd players, video players etc) but I guess
the theory is to get out of the room!
The resort has a great swimming pool - with toddler areas. A highlight of the
resort. The lagoon is good too, where you get lots of free activities (ie canoe,
windsurfing and the like) my kids used the Dolfi kids club a couple of times -
where us adults could get a nice peaceful dinner. There is about 3 different
restaurants - we mainly ate at the buffet, but there was an expensive restaurant
and a take-away. The resort is quiet expensive - but if you are an Accor member
the discounts are well worth joining if you stay at this resort.
We hired a car and saw the sights (ie Australia Zoo, Underwater World, Eumundi Markets
and surrounding areas like Noosa etc). Well worth doing. I missed
out on going to the Spa (which looked divine and what I needed) so if you do
want to, book ahead. The prices are comparable to similar day spa's elsewhere.
I recommend a restaurant - Augello's in Mooloolaba. The BEST pizza's this side of
the continent. They were great with the kids too, they supplied colouring in
pencils and drawings, and showed them how the pizza's were made (when asked
where they were by two impatient children! :)). Overall, a great time. Again,
make sure you book in advance, we squeezed in-between sittings, but worth it!
Back to Twin Waters, there were only really 2 downsides. Firstly, some of the staff
weren't very customer focussed, as in, they were a bit slack in their service
and I noticed a lot of the staff "doubled-up" in different areas of the resort (ie.
same person who did reservations, may be a waiter/ess etc another night) which
is probably good for multi-skilling, but perhaps didn't leave them with the
expert knowledge in each area. I've found this in a couple of other resorts I've
stayed at, where the staff are having more of a holiday! The 2nd one was it
wasn't long enough!
Overall, I would recommend families staying at this resort.

My family spent a week
on the Sunshine Coast staying at Twin Waters Resort in January 2003 and we're
going back again in November. Needless to say it was fabulous. The facilities at
the resort are the just great. A Huge lagoon is the feature of the resort, that
is great for safe swimming and playing on the waters edge in the sand for small
children. There's also canoes that can be used on the lagoon. The centre of the
lagoon features an incredible floating trampoline - lots of fun.
Otherwise the resort is well kept. The rooms are reasonable, and the resort also has a couple of
restaurants. Other facilities include kids club (although we didn't use it) a
great pool and bike hire. There's a track around the lagoon or otherwise a ride
over to the beach.
It is a bit expensive,
particularly in peak season, however if you get an 'Advantage Plus' membership,
you will get great value discounts on rooms and meals that override the $200
membership fee. Look out for off peak bargains. Overall a fabulous place to stay
for families.
